The brief required me to create a symbolic vector based digital self-portrait. This brief allowed me to use symbolic elements to express the visual communication more successfully. Objects, elements, backgrounds, patterns and textures can be used in the portrait to communicate the symbolism behind the artwork.

The symbolic portrait gave me the opportunity to express calmness and peacefulness while creating confusion within the viewers. The colour palette and some of my features already create the feeling of softness, such as my light skin and blonde hair. I added my birth flower, the Cosmos flower, that symbolizes orderly and beauty. The flowers` colours and fragrances give it the attributes of peacefulness. In my body language and facial expression, I want to show that I am in my own world, where there is no conflict. By adding the horns, I may raise satanic, negative questions, but in contrast, the horns are those of a sheep, a quiet, gentle, obedient animal. I chose to add the horns to express my questions I have about these negative symbolisms we add to certain things.
